Romelu Lukaku reported for the pre-season training much early with Manchester United. Irrespective of the continued uncertainty regarding the future of Old Trafford, the striker wasn’t expected to be back for the training till Wednesday. He is one among the many players who had been offered additional time-off due to their involvement in the international games after the season. However, Lukaku decided on reporting on Monday as he plans on hitting the ground before the new season. Inter Milan hopes to sign Romelu Lukaku after Antonio Conte, the new coach of the club had made him the main target for the summer transfer.

Manchester United are ready for an offer from Inter Milan which would comprise of a proposal of loaning out Lukaku for 2 seasons for about £9 million prior to a guaranteed purchased for about £9 million prior to a guaranteed purchase of more £53.7 million. The offer might be rejected but it might start off a negotiation process. Inter and Manchester United are all set to face each other on 20th July in Singapore. However, whether the deal is possible then will depend on an acceptable offer made by the club. Inter Milan will have to sell Mauro Icardi for freeing space and cash on their wage bill for bringing in Romelu Lukaku.

However, the controversial striker appears to be difficult to shift and Manchester United is reluctant in making a deal for the player. Manchester United is looking to recoup £53.7 million fees which had been paid initially to Everton for Romelu Lukaku in the year 2017. Also, they are conscious that the Meyerside of the club is due to a £5m windfall, in case the player leaves in this summer transfer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the manager of United has selected Marcus Rashford as the center-forward and Lukaku is concerned about being sidelined.
